At The Modern Buy, we want your order to reach you safely and securely. We currently offer shipping within South Africa through The Courier Guy and PAXI, giving you convenient delivery options depending on your location and order.

Order Processing

Orders are processed and prepared for dispatch within 1–3 business days after payment has been successfully received.

Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next business day.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive the relevant tracking or collection information.

Delivery Options

The Courier Guy

The Courier Guy provides door-to-door delivery to addresses throughout South Africa.

Estimated delivery times may vary depending on your location. Major centres generally receive deliveries faster than regional or outlying areas.

Please note that delivery times are estimates and may be affected by public holidays, peak periods, weather conditions, or unforeseen courier delays.

PAXI

PAXI offers a convenient pickup-point delivery option through participating PEP, PEP HOME and Tekkie Town stores.

When PAXI is available for your order and destination, you will be able to select the applicable option at checkout.

Once your parcel has arrived at the selected PAXI pickup point, you will receive a notification with the information required to collect your order.

Please ensure that you collect your parcel within the applicable PAXI collection period. Uncollected parcels may be returned or handled in accordance with PAXI's terms and conditions.

Shipping Fees

Shipping fees will be displayed at checkout and may vary depending on the delivery method and destination selected.

The Modern Buy may offer promotional shipping rates or free shipping from time to time. Any applicable promotion will be clearly communicated at the time of purchase.

Tracking Your Order

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive tracking or collection information using the contact details provided at checkout.

Please allow some time for tracking information to become active after your parcel has been handed over to the courier.

Delivery Address

Please ensure that your delivery details and contact information are correct and complete before completing your purchase.

The Modern Buy cannot be held responsible for delays or additional costs resulting from incorrect or incomplete delivery information.

If you notice an error in your delivery details after placing your order, please contact us as soon as possible. While we will do our best to assist, we cannot guarantee that changes can be made once an order has been dispatched.

Delays

While we work with our delivery partners to ensure your order reaches you as quickly as possible, occasional delays may occur.

Delivery delays caused by circumstances outside of The Modern Buy's control, including courier delays, adverse weather, public holidays, peak shopping periods, or unforeseen logistical issues, do not qualify for a refund of shipping fees.

If your order appears to be significantly delayed, please contact us with your order number so that we can assist with following up on the shipment.

Damaged Parcels

Please inspect your parcel when it arrives.

If your parcel appears damaged, please take clear photographs of the parcel and its packaging before opening or disposing of any packaging materials.

Contact The Modern Buy as soon as possible so that we can assist you with the next steps.

Unsuccessful Delivery

For Courier Guy deliveries, please ensure that someone is available to receive the parcel at the provided delivery address.

Additional delivery attempts or charges may apply where delivery cannot be completed because of an incorrect address, unavailable recipient, or other circumstances relating to the delivery.

For PAXI orders, customers are responsible for collecting their parcel from the selected pickup point within the applicable collection period.

Outlying Areas

Some locations may have longer delivery times or limited delivery options. Available shipping methods and applicable fees will be displayed at checkout based on your delivery address.
